Chopsticks are called "hashi" in Japanese. Once learnt it's a lot of fun to use them. And it's not so hard, than you might think. Just take them into your hand like in the picture. Only the chopstick at the top has to be moved - the other is resting in your hand. When you go to Japan or meet with your Japanese friends, you must not put the chopsticks vertically into the rice - because this custom means to sacrifice food for dead people. | ![]() ![]() | ||||||
Soja-sauce is called "Shoyu" in Japanese. If rice, noodles, soup or sushi - Shoyu is a must have. | ![]() ![]() |
