I have to say you have a impressive game going on here. I haven't played it in quite some time. I somewhat remember bits and pieces, especially after reading the other comments, but not enough. I think it's time for a replay.

I have you listed on my web site. It's called The RPG Maker Link Site. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out at http://rpgcrisis.net/geo/rpgmlinks/rpgm95.html. I am also a RPG Maker 95 user (awesome program, wouldn't use anything else). I have two games you can check out on my sites "RPG Maker 95 Games" page. They are titled "Vegeta and Goku's RPG Adventures.

Great game and keep up the good work.

What’s the matter with you people? Are you all so hard up for entertainment that you can actually enjoy this game? Dark Matter is a joke, and should be treated as such. If you really want to experience an apocalyptic world, just stop and take a look at yourselves. Zeal for a lowbrow barbarism like Dark Matter is what will eventually collapse society.

You should be ashamed of yourself for putting this game on the internet. You need to burry it deep inside your computer’s recycling bin before it hurts anybody else.

I find this game almost impossible - I can't get past the first scorpion found in the desert. I either kill it but die of poisoning or it kills me as it seems to dodge everything I throw at it...How annoying

*Comment: You have to equip the armor and the blaster that you get when you open the crate in the garage. You will be strong enough to get past the scorpion now.

*Comment: While I feel it's important for the player to equip every item that is given him, because it is a hard game, I think this might have been done too soon and changed the type of scorpion you fight. The battle is much easier, and no one should run into this problem again.

Ok listen... I'm starting to get pissed... I love this game... but it sucks ass when you cant do anything for a week, because the admin doesnt CHECK HIS SITE OR EMAIL. Please tell me how to get past the giant laser to get the Power Conduit!

*Comment: You need to use the underground tunnel that you open with the switches in the Matrix. Once you have the right combination you'll hear the floor open up. Then go down and crawl into the tunnel. On the other side you can shut off the power conduit.

Hi... well... I absolutely LOVE this game! It's totally addicting! But I'm stuck on it! I can't figure out how to get past the giant laser! As far as I know, I've done everything (rescued glasses and the other guy, returned the other guy to bardo, and got Max in my party). Please email me someone telling me what to do!

Hey. The name's "Stifu", not "Stufi"...

By the way, to correct what you said.
RPG Maker 95 res = 640x480
RPG Maker 2000 / 2003 res = 320x240

Didn't really look around yet, I'll see if there's anything interesting... Ciao.

Hmm... the game looks okay although it is a bit obvious that its basically follows what happens after the Fallout series of games - just without decent graphics and game engines, although that would be impossible! Apart from that keep developing it!!!

Looks Like a good game, I'm downloading it now.
Ever think of upgrading it to rm2k or rm2k3?
It might be a little better that rpg maker 95,
But it still it looks Cool! :)

*Comment: RPG Maker 95 might be a limited engine, but at least it uses a screen resolution of 800x600 and looks pretty good. Both rm2k and rm2k3 use 640x480, and the .PNG files just look like crap. Until ASCII writes a engine that looks great with a lot of flexibility I don't think I'll ever program using another engine in this type of genre. Now, thanks to Stifu you can play this on Non-DOS based machines like Win2K, so you'll never see this converted any ways. For me it's just too classic.

For once, a futuristic game!!! The only other such game I know off is Special "S" forces. Adds diversity to the overall RM95 scene. Keep up the good work...

I have never played this before. I think Game Maker 5.1 is the best. Keep on trying.

The game is great, but I don't know where to go to use the Main Door Pass Card
or the Cell Key.

*Comment: The Main Door Pass Card is used to let you out of the Matrix, you can't get it untill you save Glasses. It's a kind of trap, where you have to at least save him before getting out. You won't need the Cell Key until you have a Black Pass Card.

Game is pretty darned kool...I like the atmosphere and graphics. Text/interaction is a little lacking, and it's a LITTLE BLOODY HARD TO KEEP FROM DYING but I've seen much, much worse. Keep up the good work, and may the full version do wonders!

Ya, a small text of the controls would be helpful. Like how do u scroll text? I can't figure it out, so if u could email me the keys I'd be grateful.

*Comment: This game uses the Arrow Keys to move around and the Spacebar to select things. Like going up to someone and talking to them. You talk to them by pressing the spacebar if they didn't go into a conversation when they just saw you. The Escape Key is used to access menus that will allow you to equip Dirk, use items, or save the game. Also, there is no way to scroll text. All you do is hit the spacebar and the next text bubble will appear.

HI Mike

I downloaded and opened your game and was able to get the figure to move around but I couldn't get the figure to select anything from the environment. I also got several messages that the system had performed an illegal operation and would be shut down.

Well, I hope you like Dark Matter. It's been fun writing it, and I hope you voice your opinions. Soon I should have another Demo out, the game has really expanded.
